We will be happy to help. Hi, I have fixed this. This is not my mother board driver problem. The problem is in Intel R Management Engine Interface this driver was updated but i had downloaded older version of it and its working good and properly. This image is older version of driver. Windows 10 not shutting down properly. Mother board lights still on after shutdown. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. I have the same question Report abuse. Details required :. Cancel Submit. Hi Chayan, I appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down to the issue. What is the make and model of the computer? If it does not download automatically, please click here.

Enya Zhang. Surprisingly, this is quite a common problem. All the fixes below work in Windows So you should update your drivers to see if it fixes your problem. Driver Easy will automatically recognize your system and find the correct drivers for it.

Driver Easy handles it all. But with the Pro version it takes just 2 steps and you get full support and a day money back guarantee :. Driver Easy will then scan your computer and detect any problem drivers. From what I understand from reading, Windows and Intel might have a conflict to who actually controls the processor for power management.

If you set it to , this forces the CPU to keep control and removes this conflict. I might be wrong, but I researched more on how to fix and not so much the cause.

Any solution should be there regarding this problem. Once that has reset put the drive with the window install at the top. I have try a number of time changing settings, with short term results each time. Never a permanent result. On the few times it manages a soft shutdown; there is a strange double-take: the screen goes dark, then it returns to the colour background and spinning dots and text ” shutting down” I’m going to be replying this to every thread I’m following just to see if anyone has noticed this little part to the main issue.

After all of these solutions I’ve been doing, I’ve noticed that they seem to work temporarily after restarting or shutting down hard reset way and starting up my device again. Just now I did a little test to see if it would happen again if I do no solutions and just hard reset the device, and it seems to be successful. After doing this, it seems that the device will do those modes perfectly. If this is the case, then what could be stopping the device from working flawlessly after a couple hours of use?

Some weird process? A driver that needs to be updated? Something in the power settings? Man, this issue is so weird. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Search the community and support articles Windows Windows 10 Search Community member.

Vishwanath keerthi. Unfortunately, it did not help. Thank you for your input regardless! Make sure during the booted install to follow the illustrated steps to delete all partitions down to Unallocated Space to get it cleanest, then click Next to let it auto-create the needed partitions, format them and begin install – this makes it foolproof. Then at the drive selection screen highlight the newly Unallocated Space and click Next to let it create needed partitions and start install – this makes it foolproof.

You will get and keep the best possible install to the exact extent you stick with the steps, tools and methods in the linked tutorial. It’s a better install than any amount of money could buy. Which version of Windows 10 is currently installed? Which version and edition Windows did you originally upgrade from or was installed prior to your current version: Windows 10 – , , , build Windows 7 Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Windows 8.

So I did all the creation tool stuff, plugged the USB stick into the mobo – First time within the installation interface, I deleted all partitions as mentioned and cleaned the disk using some commands List Disk Select Disk Clean etc.

Did it confirm the Disk was cleaned? This should mean the media is good. Are you folllowing the illustrated steps in the Clean Install tutorial?

You need to boot the media as a UEFI device. It will not autostart on its own. Then choose the UEFI flash stick. Let it load just as you did before, then at second screen choose Install Now, then Custom Install, then at the drive selection screen click on the Unallocated Space and then click Next. What happens? I did all of that! But it still says insert proper boot device.
